Co-founder of Footnote Journal and a founding member of the UQ Modern History Society, Zoe graduated with an Honours degree in History from the University of Queensland. Her research linked feminist perspectives to the experiences of Australian women involved in lifesaving.

Jasmine recently graduated with an Honours degree in History from the University of Queensland. Her research analysed the 'Good Bloke' defence used in sexual assault and rape trials in New South Wales during the mid-twentieth century.

Julia Mortensen

Founding member of the UQ Modern History Society, Julia holds an Honours degree in History and works with the Communities and Personal Histories team within DSDSATSIP. Her research thesis focused on Indigenous urban history in south-western Queensland.

One of the Social Events and Social Media officers for the UQ Modern History Society, Melanie (Mel) is currently studying a dual Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in which she majors in Ancient History/ History and Criminology. She is involved in a number of other UQ clubs and societies, has worked in different research and project teams and advisory groups at UQ, and is a volunteer and mentor for charity organisation QENDO.

Molly Turnbull

Molly recently graduated with an Honours degree in Archaeology from the University of Queensland and currently works as a Research Assistant with the School of Social Sciences. They have also worked in state historical heritage. With Footnote, Molly is enthusiastic about promoting articles which successfully integrate historical records, ethnographic accounts and material culture to further understand our unique heritage.

Jorien is a PhD student and Research Assistant in UQ's School of Languages and Cultures. Her research interests include Dutch (post)colonial history; Indonesian history; memory, trauma and identity studies; and French and Francophone culture and history. 

Erin Watts

Erin is currently studying History, Linguistics and Mandarin through UQ. Her studies focus on medieval and Chinese history, as well as the role of language throughout historical events.
